The Ballannette Trust has ongoing and long term projects centring initially in the east of the Island, aiming to promote a sustainable habitat for local wildlife, flora and fauna. Wetland areas in Baldrine have been developed along with a wildflower meadow and coastal paths at Clay Head. Other land suitable for wildlife development has been recently acquired.
The Ballannette Trust believe that by educating the youth of the Isle of Man, such nature reserves can be established and maintained for future generations. Already many local voluntary groups, primary schools etc have visited the sites to enjoy the ever changing surroundings.
The nature reserve is open to the public all year round.
